A July 11, 1944 speedletter #01996 from Commander in Chief Atlantic Fleet (CinCLant) requested BuShips to paint all destroyer escorts under construction and assigned to Atlantic Fleet in camouflage 32/3D.
USS Pope (DE-134) is shown from the port bow on October 17, 1944 wearing camouflage 32/3D modified. This photo was taken by USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60). Photo source: NARA 80-G-383897.
USS Pope (DE-134) is shown in an enlargement from a photo taken from USS Solomons (CVE-67) on August 29, 1945. This is probably somewhere in Florida or the Caribbean since both Pope and Solomons were part of a training group there at that time. The camouflage may be Measure 31 because of the low contrast between the light and medium colors. Photo source: NARA 80-G-260737.
