This is the drawing for Measure 32 Design 9A for the class escort carrier USS Long Island dated December 24, 1943. The vertical colors were specified to be dull black (BK), ocean gray (5-O) and light gray (5-L) with some panels of white (5-U) for countershading. The horizontal color was not specified, but was probably deck blue (20-B).

There has been no other Design 9A drawing found.
