The design drawing for Measure 31/20L, dated August 18, 1944, for the high speed transports of the various four-stack destroyers modified by removing two stacks and boilers. This pattern used three irregular greens and brown in a mirrored mottled pattern both port and starboard.

See Design 31/20L silhouette in color.

The first drawings of Design 20L was for LCTs on July 25, 1944, then drawings for Design 20L for (APD-37) class were drawn using Measure 31 colors on August 15, 1944.
