Drawing

The design drawing for Measure 31/20L for the Cohoes class of net laying ships (AN-78 to AN-92), dated probably late August or early September, 1944. This design used three greens and dull black vertically, probably haze green (5-HG), oean green (5-OG) and navy green (5-NG) in a mirrored mottled pattern both port and starboard. This drawing also had two waterline: a load line and a light load line with the pattern down to the light load line.

Each pattern from Design 20L had been created by overlaying a master pattern of greens, brown and black over the outline of the particular class of ship. See the Master pattern for 20L. Thus each class ship 20L drawing used a slightly different part of the Master pattern and had a unique final design.

See AN-78 Design 20L Silhouette in color.
