Ths photo shows a refueling operation taken from USS Belleau Wood (CVL-24), the official caption dates this as October 30, 1944. Both Belleau Wood and Enterprise were part of Task Group 38.4 of Task Force 38 and their chronology reports the refueling took place on October 26. USS Enterprise (CV-6) is seen on the middle distance approaching an oiler. A Gridley class destroyer wearing Design 1D is on the starboard side of the oiler fueling Belleau Wood and Enterprise is in camouflage 33/4Ab.
