Mine Warfare

USS Aaron Ward (DM-34) is seen from the starboard bow at San Pedro on November 17, 1944, in camouflage 32/11A. Aaron Ward had been commissioned on October 28, 1944. On May 3, 1945, she was struck by several kamikaze planes and severely damaged; after some temporary repairs returned to the US where she was never completely repaired because of the end of the war. The colors here are dull black, ocean gray and light gray.
