31/20L Drawing

The design drawing for Measure 31/20L, dated July 31, 1944, for the tank landing ships of the LST-1 class.  This pattern specified Measure 31 greens and brown with dull black in a mirrored mottled pattern on both port and starboard. The original master pattern for Design 20L was created by the Fleet Maintenence Office (FMO) of Service Force, Pacific and was intended to be overlaid on the individual ship profile for the final plan.

See Master Pattern.

See LST-1 silhouette in color.

The first drawings for Design 20L was for LCTs on July 25, 1944, then drawings for Design 20L for (APD-37) class were drawn using Measure 31 colors on August 15, 1944.
