Drawing

The Measure 32/11A design drawing for the Cleveland class light cruisers dated January 27, 1944. The vertical colors were Measure 32: light gray (5-L), ocean gray (5-O) and dull black (BK) with horizontal surfaces a pattern of deck blue (20-B) and ocean gray. This design has a great deal of false perspectives with many panels resembling the stern and sides of a ship rotated away from the observer.

Design 11A was drawn up at about the same time for the carrier Saratoga and the Sangemon class of escort carriers. The design was then drawn on April 21, 1944, for the General John Pope class of transports and then on May 1, 1944, for the Kaloli class of gasoline tankers. Finally, on May 11, 1944, Design 11A was drawn for the Allen M. Sumner class of destroyers, although the pattern loses some of its false perspective because of the lower silhouette hull.
